WHY are we starting sharing a second service?

God is doing something awesome at Valley and changing lives. We want to SHARE that with the community!


Many Sunday’s our seating (and parking) capacity is at least 70-80% full or more in worship AND in our Valley Kids spaces!


Starting a second service will create extra space for us to share, grow, and reach more people, kids, and families to “Be Good Neighbors: for God, for People, for a Change.”


WHEN will this start and what will the service times be?

Sunday, October 11th at 9:00am and 10:30am.


The two-service schedule will run through Memorial Day, then shift to one 10:30am service for the summer months. Valley Kids will be offered during both services.


WHAT do we hope for?

A fun, engaging, and welcoming Worship and Valley Kids experience — It’s hard to give our guests that kind of experience when space and getting settled can feel difficult.


We also believe this will give us the opportunity to leverage our strong missional DNA and identity as a church for some exciting potential ministry and mission development partnerships in the future on our land at 52nd Ave here in Allendale.


WHO is this for?

This is for your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and people in the community who haven’t connected to, or experienced, God’s amazing love. What an awesome thing to share!


HOW can I help?

There are three simple ways you can help us take the next step together:


🙏 PRAY


Your prayers matter! Leading up to October 11th we want to encourage you to join us in prayer. Pray for outward community impact, volunteer strength, friendship across services, and a spirit of generous welcoming and hospitality.


“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...according to his power that is at work within us...” (Ephesians 3:20-21)


⛪ SHOW UP


Your presence matters! When you consistently show you help create critical mass, energy, and a welcoming experience for yourself, others, and our guests.


“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another....” (Hebrews 10:24-25)


--With two services, we’ll need more hands who show up to help make Sundays welcoming for everyone. Check out our volunteer opportunties to see where you can jump in and serve.


👭 INVITE


Your invitation matters! And someone is waiting for yours right now. One of the greatest privileges we have in our journey with Jesus is inviting someone else on the journey too. Your invitation(s) won’t just help launch the two services with momentum, it could also, quite literally, change someone’s life!


“So reach out and welcome one another to God's glory. Jesus did it; now you do it!” (Romans 15:7 MSG)

A less crowded room for a season is part of the process of growing two services - that’s okay and an exciting opportunity!
